April Apache Dispersals

April 2024 saw an additional number of the recently retired Apache AH1s being dispersed to different locations.

Three Apache AH1s were moved by road from Wattisham on 18th April to the Army’s trade training facility at Lyneham in Wiltshire. These airframes will be used to help train the Army’s future aircraft engineers.

Another pair of Apaches which had recently been airfreighted from an exercise at Bardufoss directly into Brize Norton were then road moved to Wattisham.

Finally, at the end of the month an Apache was moved by road from Wattisham to the Army Air Corps Museum at Middle Wallop, for preservation and display.
