667 Squadron AAC

Squadron Motto: “Dare to Discover”

Royal Air Force 667 Squadron was formed at Gosport on 1st December 1943 and flew various types through to the end of the Second World War.

After the Army Air Corps was formed, the 667 Squadron numberplate was available for their use, and was used in the Development and Trials role at the end of the 20th Century, based at Middle Wallop.

The squadron played a part in introducing the Apache into AAC service from 2000.

In 2020 the squadron identity was passed the Bell 212 unit based at Medecina Lines in Brunei.
